(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Two hosting superstars hit the stage on Tuesday during cPanel’s annual conference, this year held in Houston, Texas. cPanel CEO J. Nick Koston was joined on stage by company VP of Operations Aaron Phillips to provide an inside glimpse into all things cPanel and exactly what the conference was all about.
In his speech towards an enthusiastic crowd, Koston described a company making waves in the industry, notably being used on a widespread scale. He, however, saw room for improvement, especially in new development projects.
The popular hosting control panel provider is fresh off a partnership with WHMCS, a billing platform used throughout the industry. And that, of course, was something Koston covered. The CEO emphasized tighter integration between cPanel’s hosting control panel and the popular billing platform. However, the two will remain two separate entities.
Phillips, meanwhile hit the stage, getting specific about cPanel-backed programs including the company’s cPanel University, allowing hosting providers to get certified in the company’s technical specifications. Also in the mix were the company’s promotion of industry partners (with cPanel Partner NOC Director) along with receiving more input from clients via feature requests.
cPanel Conference is considered one of the industry’s most high profile events outside of HostingCon. The event is currently being attended by providers including OnApp, CloudLinux, SoftLayer, Spam Experts, HostGator and more.
Aside from general networking, cPanel provides attendees to get cPanel certified by offering certifications and tests regarding sales and technical specifications. cPanel Conference 2012 concludes today.
