The cPanel team recently welcomed a packed house of close to 400 attendees to its 2010 conference, which took place at the Westin Oaks Houston. For two days, they were able to discuss and learn about web hosting solutions with more than 23 exhibitors and 25 different session presenters. There were also five media sponsors and numerous evening networking events.
Aaron Phillips, cPanel vice president of operations, attributes the success of cPanel Conference 2010 to the conference attendees, guest speakers, exhibitors, and cPanel staff volunteers.
“All of the participants that attend cPanel Conference every year have a genuine interest in learning about cPanel and networking with industry peers,” Phillips said. “Their interest in cPanel is what allows this conference to get bigger and better each year,” he added.
cPanel received praise from many of the conference sponsors as well. Ditlev Bredahl, OnApp chief executive officer, said he always has a great time at cPanel Conference.
“It is by far my favorite conference,” Bredahl said.
There was a little bit of everything at at this year’s conference. Exhibitors were able to provide attendees with expert information about their products. Speakers ranged from technical and informative in the exhibitor and guest-speaker sessions to hilarious in the Lightning Talks.
cPanel, a company known for hosting out-of-the-box events, lived up to the standard it set at HostingCon 2010’s “Unleash Your Inner Geek” party. cPanel Conference 2010’s “Automation Hoedown” came complete with margaritas and a mechanical bull.
