CyberDefender Names New VP of Customer Retention

Zine Web Hosting Magazine) –  CyberDefender Corporation (Nasdaq:CYDE), a provider of Internet security software, utilities and remote technical support services that work together to maximize online safety for consumers, today announced the company has expanded its management team with the hire of Deepa Miglani as vice president of customer retention.

In this capacity Ms. Miglani will be responsible for advancing CyberDefender’s customer retention and renewal strategies across all product lines. Drawing on her extensive experience in predictive churn modeling and churn prevention strategies, Ms. Miglani will focus on improving the overall customer experience to increase satisfaction, reduce customer cancellations/refunds and improve subscription renewal rates. Additionally, she will work with the company’s sales teams in their continued efforts to drive revenue through improved cross-sell, up-sell and loyalty programs.

Ms. Miglani comes to CyberDefender with more than 12 years of direct response industry experience and significant expertise in customer acquisition and retention strategies. Most recently she served as director of acquisition marketing at eHarmony, where she was responsible for optimizing the television and online marketing budgets and expanding the digital advertising footprint of the business in the display, email and affiliate marketing channels. During her tenure at eHarmony, she successfully revamped the company’s email marketing campaigns, resulting in improved brand perception and re-structured the affiliate marketing processes, improving ROI and positively impacting the company’s revenues.

Before joining eHarmony, Ms. Miglani served as the director of direct-to-consumer marketing at Rosetta Stone, where she led the development and implementation of strategic marketing and operating plans, managed the company’s marketing budget and had direct P&L accountability for the offline consumer business. While serving in this position Ms. Miglani developed new brand positioning strategies and cutting-edge advertising campaigns that successfully increased brand recognition, significantly improved the company’s ROI from TV media and doubled the ROI from radio media. Additionally, she directed a top-performing marketing/sales team that achieved double-digit growth year over year, a significant driver of the expansion that paved the way for Rosetta Stone’s successful IPO in April 2009.

Previously, Ms. Miglani spent seven years with Startec Global Communications, where she served as director of customer relationship manager and marketing manager.

Ms. Miglani earned her master’s degree in literature and communications from Delhi University in India.
