Dart: Google Unveils Coding Language

(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Google has come up with a way of assisting in the development of web applications. The web giant’s simple answer: Create a new coding language.

Today, Google detailed Dart on its Google Code blog, listing three goals for the new programming language. The first involved making it “structured yet flexible” while the second was making it “familiar and natural.”

Meanwhile, Google’s third goal is for “high performance.”

So how can the new language be used? According to the company, users can put Dart to use on a platform such as a virtual machine. There’s also another way: Code with Dart, then translate it into JavaScript, the coding language that’s been around for a long time.

With the release, Google says it’s targeting both small and large developers. For more information on the matter, visit:  http://googlecode.blogspot.com/2011/10/dart-language-for-structured-web.html
