(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Venturing into the world of dedicated solutions Thursday, technology supplier Dell detailed its new cloud IaaS offering called “Dell Cloud Dedicated,” in addition to announcing two other significant moves.
The dedicated offering from the company lets customers rely on individual servers, harnessing features that include scalability, rapid deployment, access via self-service and more. “Coupled with a variety of storage, networking, and managed service options, Dell Cloud Dedicated makes it simple for users to operate production workloads that otherwise would be limited to custom, on-premise deployment,” commented the company via a press release.
A highlight of the service provides users with what the company calls “metered usage benefits.”
Meanwhile, Dell is making the most of a previous partnership with virtualization provider VMware as the company is expected to launch its cloud featuring VMware vCloud Datacenter support across new regions including Mexico, the United Kingdom, Ireland and France.
In addition to the above, the popular computer creator is making the availability of its cloud services easier for customers to access through the launch of its Dell Cloud Portal in the U.S. in the near the future.
