(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Computer and tech giant Dell has a new Global CIO. On Wednesday, the company revealed that it had promoted former Dell VP of IT Adriana Karaboutis to fill the role.
In her new capacity, Karaboutis will be responsible for the company’s global infrastructure and more.
Discussing the company’s new Global CIO (Chief Information Officer), Dell Chief Financial Officer Brian Gladden stated, “Andi has made a huge impact in her time at Dell, helping us to advance our strategy of becoming a comprehensive supplier of enterprise solutions and services.”
“I know as our CIO she will play a critical role as we build on our successes to help Dell and our customers maximize IT productivity through our own powerful and flexible solutions,” Gladden continued.
Karaboutis has been with the company since 2010, assisting with Dell’s manufacturing responsibilities among other duties.
Earlier this year in August, Dell partnered with virtualization provider VMware to launch public cloud solutions. For more information on Dell’s appointment of a new company CIO, view a press release here (content.dell.com).
