(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Bungie has released the free companion app for its upcoming shooter game, Destiny, just in time for the PlayStation beta that launches tomorrow.
The app gives players tools needed to navigate through the game such as access to forums, groups, and private messages, along with updates on the latest news about the game, GameSpot reports.
Additionally, players can access their character’s armor and change it out in real time, look at their inventory, and use the app’s encyclopedia to explore the world’s characters, locations, and events.
The PS4 and PS3 beta is set to roll out tomorrow for users who have pre-ordered the game. The beta is rumored to feature four story chapters, four competitive multiplayer maps, a co-op Strike, and a “huge world to explore.”
The Destiny companion app is currently available for free on the App Store or Google Play.
Destiny will launch for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS4, PS3, and PC on September 9th.
