(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Specifics regarding a yet to be released video game from developer Bungie have hit the online world via a leak.
Bungie is notable for its work on Halo and subsequent sequels and currently holds a deal with Activision Blizzard.
The game title, known as “Destiny” is reportedly sci-fi themed. Details were leaked through a document obtained by video game news website IGN.com.
“Our story begins seven hundred years from now in the Last City on Earth, in a Solar System littered with the ruins of man’s Golden Age. A massive, mysterious alien ship hangs overhead like a second Moon. No one knows where it came from or what it’s here for, but only that it’s our protector. Meanwhile, strange, alien monsters creep in from the edge of the universe, determined to take Earth and the Last City. We are young ‘knights’ tasked with defending the remains of humanity, discovering the source of these monsters and – eventually – overcoming it,” the document states, according to the report.
So what can enthusiasts expect from the gameplay? According to the document, it’s “social at its core.”
Released alongside the document was very detailed concept art. The game title “Destiny” first emerged in May through a court document. Bungie was formerly owned by tech giant Microsoft between 2000 and 2007.
