(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – DOSarrest announced today that it has increased its DDoS protection footprint, with the addition of a new node in New York City. This new location will work in conjunction with their existing operations in Los Angeles, California and Vancouver, BC. The additional node increases their DDoS protection capabilities and increases performance for their east coast US and European customer base.
Mark Teolis, GM of DOSarrest states “The additional node on the east coast of the US will increase our overall DDoS protection capabilities, even though our existing nodes in the west have never been overwhelmed by an attack, we know there are bigger fish lurking out there, we are now better able to handle them.”
We needed to prove our unique system worked well as a cloud type of service, we have done that over the last 18 months and 300+ unique real world attacks. The addition of a node in NYC was the next step in a multi step process. We will deploy an additional10Gb/sec node to London, UK sometime in Q2/Q3, with other locations on the drawing board. We are presently providing DDoS protection to servers located in 13 countries. The closer we are to them, the better the performance. The system doubles as a sort of secure CDN, while at the same time blocks DDoS attacks.”
