(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Dropbox has significantly lowered its prices as a way to compete with rivals such as Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, and Amazon Web Services.
Now Dropbox’s Pro plan is priced at $9.99 a month, which included 1 terabyte of space, PCWorld reports. Previously the $10 a month subscription would only get you 100 gigabytes, while its $50 month plan would get 500 gigabytes.
The company’s new plans also include a remote wipe feature that allows users who lose their mobile device the ability to delete all files and stop syncing from another device, as well as password protection and expiration date links for documents.
Earlier this year Google slashed its Drive prices from $49.99 to $9.99 a month for 1TB of storage, while Microsoft charges $2.50 a month for 1TB during its promotional offer.
