(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – If you’re a frequent visitor of top bidding site eBay, you’re probably starting to notice some prominent changes to the layout. On Wednesday, company President Devin Wenig discussed “The New eBay,” featuring what he called “a cleaner, contemporary look and feel.”
The most notable feature is the inclusion of the new eBay logo. While using a similar color scheme, the new lettering is structured in a straight line.
Other changes set to hit the site include what Wenig said is “a more intuitive, convenient way to browse, decide and buy – both globally and locally; and a new personal way to curate your own shopping experience and discover items perfect for you.”
Prominent tech site Tech Crunch called the new eBay “a Pinterest-inspired redesign.” A Reuters report, meanwhile, noted that eBay had revealed a marketplace that could challenge deals site Groupon.
Last month, eBay unveiled Setify, a platform geared towards collectibles, allowing sellers to more easily organize and share them across the bidding network.
