(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The upcoming game in the EverQuest franchise, EverQuest Next, will be coming to the PS4, confirms Sony.
In an interview with Polygon, EverQuest director Dave Georgeson spoke about some of the social features the game with contain and the new voice chat integration that EverQuest Next Landmark will be receiving.
According to Georgeson, the PS4 version will allow players to share content on social media outlets such as Twitch, Facebook, and Twitter.
“Reaching out to other people through social media…it’s a given, it’ll be in Next.”
As for EverQuest Next Landmark, the voice chat support will allow players to help friends build new things. Players will also be able to give others permission to build on each other’s land claims, a recent feature that was introduced this month.
“Landmark is about building anything you can dream of at any time. It’s a persistent world which you’re wandering through other people’s imaginations and seeing what they are dreaming up on a constant basis. It changes every single day. Landmark will eventually become less about building a neat little house and more about building your own MMO,” added Georgeson.
EverQuest Next is set to be released with EverQuest Next Landmark, the series world-building tool, for the PC and PS4.
