FBI Eyes Tenergy Batteries Found at Boston Scene

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Investigators studying the aftermath of the horrific Boston bombings last Monday have placed a particular focus on one key piece of evidence: A Tenergy battery.

According to a report from East Bay News, the FBI spent Friday looking for information at Tenergy headquarters in Fremont, California.

The company has already admitted its 7.2 volt 3000MAH nickel metal hybride battery pack was used by terrorist suspects during the bombings.

“If it was from a retail store, obviously we would not have that information, but if they bought it directly from us, we have that information, and we also provided all the information on all the retail stores that we have sold to,” commented Tenergy VP Benjamin Mull in the report from East Bay News.

Meanwhile, the bureau is said to be examining a list of who purchased the product in hopes that it could help reveal more details regarding the attack.

Surviving bomb suspect Dzhokar Tsarnaev is currently under heavy guard at a Boston hospital while recovering from wounds sustained in a manhunt with authorities. Tsarnaev has already been charged and could face the death penalty from federal prosecutors.
