(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – iOS 6.1 has arrived and while the changes may seem small in scale, there are some worthy mentions. Here we highlight the features:
Siri with Fandango: Siri is now an ardent movie goer. With support for ticket buying solution Fandango, you can now direct the trusty AI assistant to display movie times and then purchase tickets. It’s not all voice activated, though. You’ll have to specify the quantity of tickets you’d like with the tip of your fingers.
New LTE Support: Apple has upped its LTE connectivity via iOS 6.1. While the tech giant didn’t exactly make it clear which LTE networks were added, an entire list is provided here: http://www.apple.com/iphone/LTE/
ITunes: If you’re a subscriber of iTunes Match, Apple now gives you the ability to directly download individual songs via iCloud – something Apple users should certainly enjoy.
Advertising Identifier: This option is a non-permanent device identifier used via advertising networks. It gives the user more control over how third parties advertisers track content as they view apps and web resources. Users can now easily reset it with an added button
