(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Backup is an important factor in securing data center data. Hosting provider Qube Managed Services recently set out to find just that and the company looked no further than backup software company R1Soft.
With the move, Qube has added R1Soft’s Continuous Data protection to its three data centers. The facilities include locations in New York, Zurich, and London.
Discussing the matter, Qube R&D Manager Andy Ashley stated, “R1Soft Continuous Data Protection has surpassed Qube’s expectations of backup technology. Not only has CDP proven to be reliable and manageable, but its Bare-Metal Restore function is also useful for easily cloning servers, which has been an unexpected bonus for us.”
“The reporting feature has also been very valuable to our backup administration and management as it provides a quick overview of all of the backup job statuse,” Ashley continued.
Qube initially announced its partnership with R1Soft last month. One factor that the company says played a part in the addition R1Soft included a “simpler approach to licensing.”
As a hosting provider, Qube offers services including VMware cloud hosting, dedicated servers, colocation and more. For more information on Qube Managed Services, visit: http://www.qubenet.net
