(Ping! ZIne Web Tech Magazine) – More mobile functionality for Facebook has arrived. According to a report from the BBC on Thursday, the social site had integrated a feature allowing iPhone users to place free calls via Facebook’s mobile app.
The primary benefit, though? It could help users avoid additional call charges, the report noted. Requirements stipulate that user must have the messenger app installed.
Available via Facebook messenger, the feature is also expected to be offered for Android and Blackberry mobile devices at a later date.
The new feature’s unveiling follows a big announcement by Facebook in which the company revealed Graphic search – something the company said was “privacy aware.”
