(Ping! Zine) – On Tuesday, Intel announced that the Federal Trade Commission has approved its acquisition of McAfee, however the deal has not been fully hammered out in Europe.
Intel vice president for investor relations Kevin Sellers released a statement saying, “The Federal Trade Commission has concluded its review of the proposed McAfee transaction and has cleared it.”
He also noted “We are continuing to work with the staff at the European Commission as they continue their review.”
Back in August, Intel announced its plan to acquire the anti-virus software company McAfee for $7.68-billion.
