(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – If you’re an avid gamer and happen to be with Verizon, here’s something to consider: Over one hundred game titles are now available for the wireless carrier’s Android customers for a monthly rate of $5.99.
Today the company unveiled its GameTanium service, providing popular games like Plants Vs. Zombies, Doodle God and Fruit Ninja to users on a subscription basis. The offering was made available through a partnership with on-demand gaming provider Extent.
Interested users can download the platform through Verizon’s application service via their mobile devices. “We are excited to bring the launch of the GameTanium smartphone and tablet service to Verizon Wireless’ customer base,” commented Extent CEO Zvi Levgoren in a press release regarding the mater.
Levgoren continued, “The speed and power of Verizon Wireless’ network allows for a rich mobile gaming experience for Verizon Wireless customers to enjoy.”
A three day free trial of the platform is currently being offered. Last month, Verizon rolled out its new FiOS Quantum high speed internet service, something the company said would let customers download a 2 hour HD movie in just 2.2 minutes.
