(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Managing hosting platforms via mobile devices continues to grow in popularity.
On Tuesday, top web hosting provider Go Daddy revealed that the company’s Mobile App had surpassed more than a million global downloads, allowing users to manage their domain platforms along with making purchases.
Discussing the matter in a press release, Go Daddy CEO Warren Adelman stated, “In the next three years, mobile usage is expected to nearly double what it is today.”
“Our strategy has always been to give our customers useful technology they want and need, which is why we built our Go Daddy Mobile App. It gives people the convenience they expect and the time savings they need … when our customers need us, we want to be there immediately,” Adelman went on to say.
Other features of the application include Auction listings, account alerts, DNS control, and more. The company’s Mobile App is available on mobile operating systems from Android, Apple, and BlackBerry.
Late last month, Go Daddy announced that it no longer supported SOPA (the Stop Online Piracy Act), a controversial bill intended to cut down on internet piracy. Critics of the legislation contend that the bill would harm free speech rights online. For further information regarding Go Daddy’s Mobile App milestone, go here (godaddy.com).
