(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – GoDaddy, the world’s largest technology provider dedicated to small businesses, partnered with SiteLock to bring complete protection to websites. SiteLock proactively protects websites using the latest scanning techniques, giving customer peace-of-mind their website is safe.
SiteLock scans websites for the latest malware, viruses, suspicious code, back doors and many other vulnerabilities commonly exploited by attackers. A report is emailed summarizing what was detected. In addition to finding issues, SiteLock automatically corrects problems, saving customers headaches, time and money. This enables customers and visitors to their website to confidently know the website is safe and free of any malicious software.
“GoDaddy is focused on ‘making the business of business easy’ and services like SiteLock save customers time so they can focus on their passion,” said GoDaddy Vice President and General Manager, Security Products Wayne Thayer. “Security is more important than ever and we partnered with SiteLock because we found SiteLock to provide the most advanced and complete security solution available.”
After a website set up, a 360 degree scanning takes place. The scan uses an inside-and-out scanning technology to find malware, spam, SQL injections, cross-site scripting (XSS) and application vulnerabilities. Once a website passes the tests, a SiteLock Trust Seal, showing the website is secure, is available to display.
“Offering SiteLock through GoDaddy made a lot of sense – they were looking to provide complete website security solution to their customers,” said SiteLock Executive Vice President of Business Development Tom Serani. “Given the GoDaddy footprint in the SMB market, this strategic relationship is directly in line with SiteLock’s goal of quickly spreading awareness among small and mid-size businesses about the risk of online threats and steps they can take to protect their companies and customers.”
SiteLock is the latest addition to GoDaddy’s security product suite which includes, SSL certificates, code signing certificates and Premium DNS featuring DNSSEC.
