It’s expected that GoMobi’s inclusion by Google will have a larger marketing impact. Discussing the matter in a press release, dotMobi COO Eileen O’Sullivan said her company was “delighted to join Google’s GetMo initiative to further promote adoption of the mobile Web.”
“We’ve been in mobile Web since its beginning, so we understand websites need to deliver a local, personal and mobile-specific experience to customers. Mobile is not desktop made smaller. It’s a different medium and needs a different approach. We believe goMobi offers the best option to customers,” O’Sullivan commented.
The mobile site creation tool is currently provided for in the United Kingdom through web hosting provider Easyspace. Businesses in the country can get a 40% discount on the platform. The news follows an announcement by the company last month that web host Blacknight would begin offering goMobi.
