(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – If you’re a user of Google’s popular Chrome web browser, perhaps you recently noticed some changes.
On Tuesday, the tech giant noted it had added “smarter” omnibox suggestions for everyone.
“Starting today, all Chrome users will start seeing improvements to omnibox suggestions based on the recency of websites you visited, resulting in more timely and contextually relevant suggestions,” commented Google Software Engineer Mark Pearson via a post on the Google Chrome blog.
In addition to the Omibox changes, Google noted it had added support for “rich notifications” for Mac computers, something the company says will help users “keep up with what’s happening within your apps and extensions.”
But that’s not all the changes. Also in the mix is a new option that lets users restore Chrome back to its original settings , something that can be accessed via Chrome’s settings page.
Google Chrome is currently among the most popular web browsers.
