(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Google Fiber, the company’s high speed internet service, is finally beginning to accept sign-ups in Provo, Utah.
Despite the move, the service launch is beginning quite limited. According to a report from Engadget on Wednesday, Google Fiber in Provo will only be initially available to Veracity Networks’ residential customers – a move that will allow them to sign up first.
Fiber is set to use the network formerly known as “iProvo,” which Veracity Networks is already connected to.
Meanwhile, more general signups will begin in January.
Google has pushed general availability of Fiber since initially launching the service in Kansas City during June of last year.
