(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Google Glass is getting a makeover from the world’s largest eyewear company, Luxottica, announced the companies on Monday.
Luxottica, the company behind popular brands such as Ray-Ban, Persol, and Oakley, is collaborating with the tech giant to make its Glass eyewear more stylish and personable.
“We see Glass as the next chapter in this long story. Light, simple and modular, Glass introduces new functionality as your glasses get smarter – but bringing your own style to Glass is just as important,” stated Google on its Google + blog.
The technology eyewear will combine Luxottica’s avant-garde designs with Google’s innovative technology to make the eyewear a revolutionary device.
“These forward-thinking devices will be the result of a new and unique strategic approach reflecting attention to detail, uncompromising quality and technology nurtured in the global market,” states Luxottica’s blog. “The sophistication and elegance of this new generation of products will be a dramatic step forward in an evolving category and elevate the consumer experience in this area.”
Google Glass is still in its bets phase and not yet available to the general public.
