(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Your frustration over finding a place to eat in the area may now be a thing of the past.
Today Google announced the launch of Google+ Local, a service integrated into the tech giant’s social network giving users restaurant recommendations based on their geographic location.
The feature will be available online and on mobile devices, and is not just limited to Google+. The company announced that it will also appear in search results and on maps.
The service will allow users to search for a specific restaurant or type of food that they’re in the mood for. Search results will turn up both listings and write-ups using a plug for Zagat’s, the restaurant review guide service.
Google+ Local is being offered first through Android devices and will be available soon on iOS devices according to the company.
