The device is said to be based on the LG G2, the Optimus G’s still unreleased successor.
According to Daum, the LG G2 will feature a Snapdragon 800 processor in addition to sporting things like a 2700 mAh battery, a 13MP camera with OIS and either 2 or 3GB of RAM.
Aside from the early October release, Daum noted the Nexus 5 would arrive with Android 5: Keylime Pie.
For now, we’re putting this report under the “pure speculation” category. A Nexus 5 device, however, would seem to make sense for Google. Just earlier this week, numerous reports noted that stock of the Nexus 4 was dwindling. Google, meanwhile, was seen pushing a Nexus 4 limited time offer with a free bumper via its Play Store.
