(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) –New purchasing options are now available on Google Play, the internet giant’s popular application store. Users will now be able to purchase movies along with television series either by season or per episode.
The announcement was made by Google Eng Director Chris Yerga during the company’s annual I/O conference for developers. To provide for the content, the company partnered with media studios including Paramount, ABC and Disney.
While movies may seem like the main highlight, new magazine offerings were also unveiled for the application store. Users can now subscribe or buy single issues.
Google also showed off its highly anticipated Nexus 7 tablet, a device developed in partnership with technology company Asus. The Nexus 7 features Quad-Core Tegra 3 processor and places a special emphasis on Google Play.
Google Play initially debuted in March following a company rebranding. It was previously known as the Android Market. I/O is expected to conclude within the next three days after sessions focusing on Google services such as Android, Chrome, Drive, Maps, YouTube and more.
