(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Google has introduced a new feature to its search engine making it a lot easier to search for music content.
“When you look up musicians and bands on Google, you often want to play their songs right away. Say you’re curious about your favorite pop artist’s latest hits, or you’re with friends chatting about the newest indie rock group and want to play some of their music,” explains Google Search Product Manager, Jason Douglas, via blog post.
Now when mobile users search a specific song or artists they can tap a link that directly plays their music from previously installed apps such as Google Play, YouTube, Spotify, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, and Rdio.
Currently, the music search feature only works on U.S. Android users, though the tech giant hopes to expand the feature worldwide.
