(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Google will be bringing its high-speed Internet service, Google Fiber, to Austin, Texas this December, announced a Google spokeswoman on Wednesday.
The spokeswoman did not give pricing details, though she did say the plans would mirror those in Google’s two other Fiber cities, Kansas City and Provo, the Wall Street Journal reports.
Google currently offers three different plans to its Fiber cities, a $120 a month TV and Internet package, a $70 a month Internet only plan, and a slower Internet plan that is free for seven years after the initial $300 instillation fee is paid.
The tech giant first announced that it would be bringing its service to Austin in 2013, slating a mid-2014 release.
