(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – In the world of Grand Theft Auto, carjacking is the norm. However, a recent issue with GTA 5 has caused a much more mysterious case of carjacking: Gamers’ cars stored in garages are simply disappearing.
Concerning the highly alarming glitch, developer Rockstar recently highlighted some steps users can take to assure that their cars and/or upgrades won’t disappear out of the blue.
“This issue may occur if you drive another character’s personal vehicle. We are looking into a fix to prevent this from occurring in the future. If you would like to receive an automatic email notification when the fix is live, please log into the Support Site and click Subscribe at the top of this page. In the meantime, please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades,” stated the company via its support site.
Rockstar has also recommended using the Social Club garage in addition to checking the mission start point, the character’s safehouse, the mission endpoint and the impound if they lose a vehicle during the mission.
