(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Hacking group LizardSquad continues to cause chaos with its latest attack on Sony’s PlayStation Network, leaving many players unable to log on to their accounts.
When players tried to access the PS store yesterday they were met with a message stating: “Page Not Found! It’s not you. It’s the internet’s fault,” reports the BBC.
LizardSquad took credit for the attack, writing via Twitter, “PSN Login #offline #LizardSquad.”
It has been a tough couple of weeks for Sony, with the recent massive data breach that plagued their systems last month.
The hack first occurred on November 24, where Sony employees received a warning issued over all corporate systems from a group of hackers going by the name of GOP, or Guardians of Peace.
Along with the network hack, the group also leaked four unreleased films, Annie, Mr. Turner, Still Alice, and To Write Love on Her Arms, along with Fury, which is currently in theaters.
Last week the group brought down Microsoft’s Xbox Live service, promising to bring more DDoS attacks throughout the month, especially on Christmas.
