Hosting the Olympics? Telehouse Drops Hints

(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Data center solutions provider Telehouse has big news. They’ve attained a new tenant for their data center services in London.

Exactly who the tenant is wasn’t exactly made clear in a company press release. However, there were plenty of hints to guess from. Telehouse referred to them as “the broadcasting network for the Host Broadcaster of a major sports event in London next year.”

So exactly what major sports event is taking place in London next year? Look no further than the 2012 Olympics (Telehouse also referred to the event as expected to have viewership by 2/3 of the world).

Commenting on the matter, Telehouse Director of Sales & Marketing Michelle Reid stated, “ At Telehouse, we have been expanding our footprint in the media arena, and a large proportion of our customers conduct online broadcasting with a global reach.”

“We are already talking to some of the world’s leading media content providers about plugging into the Host Broadcaster platform at Telehouse West,” she continued.

Specifically, Telehouse says the move will let various media groups “connect to the signal and transmit unbiased live radio and television coverage to viewers across the globe.” Aside from having a presence in the UK, Telehouse has locations in the United States, Japan, France, and more.
