(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Hybrid cloud deployment service FlexLink was recently revealed by web host Hostway on Tuesday. The service is based on the Microsoft Hyper-V server and allows businesses to deploy hybrid clouds via storage platforms such as colocation, private cloud and managed hosting.
Hostway says the solution is the first hybrid cloud offered in the market to rely on Microsoft Hyper-V.
“The market is clearly moving to a hybrid compute model, with analysts predicting that most cloud adoptions in the future will consist of combined private/public cloud configurations,” stated Hostway President John Martis.
“Our FlexLink solution addresses this need with the ability to blend both our FlexCloud™ solution and managed server resources in any combination to build a secure, flexible and dynamically scalable infrastructure,” Martis continued.
Specifics of Hostway’s hybrid cloud solution include data security, disaster recovery, private VLAN and optimized compute configurations.
Hostway operates is services including cloud, domain registration and more through its Chicago, Illinois data center.
The announcement of FlexLink follows a December release by the company in which Hostway partnered with StillSecure to introduce a new managed network security solution. For more information regarding the matter, view a press release by Hostway here (hostway.com).
