(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – After being released just late last month, Apple’s iOS 7 still seems to be causing some problems for iPhone users.
The issues have pertained to things like motion sickness, battery drain on older devices and even a glitch in iOS 7’s lock screen. Another thing users have been reporting is an issue with iMessage that sometimes causes texts not to go through.
And while Apple is said to be working on a fix, thankfully there are some things you can do manually to try to override the problems.
A report from the Huffington Post recently brought to light a workaround you can try. Simply attempt the steps below:
1.) Turn iMessage off – To do this, go to Settings – Select “Messages” and unselect “iMessage” to disconnect it (This should turn the tab from green to white).
2.) Go to “Settings” – Select “General”
3.) Scroll down and select “Reset”
4.) Select “Reset Network Settings”
5.) Enter PIN number
6.) Turn iMessage back on via step 1.
7.) Hopefully iMessage will be working for you again! (fingers crossed!)
