(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Popular mobile developer HTC is pinning a lot of promise to its newly unveiled HTC One – a device it talked about just Tuesday.
“People today immerse themselves in a constant stream of updates, news and information. Although smartphones are one of the main ways we stay in touch with the people and information we care about, conventional designs have failed to keep pace with how people are actually using them,” commented HTC CEO Peter Chou in a press release.
Chou continued, “A new, exciting approach to the smartphone is needed and with the new HTC One, we have re-imagined the mobile experience from the ground up to reflect this new reality.”
At 1.7 GHz, the phone notably features HTC Blinkfeed, something that provides a single live stream to the home screen.
Also a primary feature of the phone is the device’s camera, a component that actually uses less megapixels than competing offerings. Interestingly enough, this also allows the HTC One to make the megapixels larger.
A feature called HTC Sense also allows users to use the phone as a TV remote via cloud features. The HTC comes out in March. Are you interested in getting one? Let us know!
