(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The latest release of a popular pay what you want gaming platform is providing big dividends.Humble Indie Bundle has surpassed sales accounting for 500 thousand copies, according to a statistic tracker via the company’s website. That number currently means over $3 million dollars in revenue.
The proceeds can go to good causes. The Humble Indie Bundle allows users to donate what they want to either charities, game developers or the company itself. Such games include Superbrothers, Bastion, LIMBO and Lone Survivor over operating systems such as Windows, Mac and Linux.
“All of these games have received accolades for pushing the envelope in their respective genres and delivering incredible storytelling and gameplay,” commented a blog post introducing the fifth version last week.
Humble Indie Bundle initially debuted with its first launch in 2010. Meanwhile, the current donation period for the fifth version is set to conclude in five days.
