(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Use hybrid graphics along with Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7 and you could be in for a dilemma: Things may not work correctly – at least according to a report from bit-tech.net.
The issue follows the recent availability of IE10 on Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system.
The problem plaguing the upgrade reportedly prompts users with text reading “Internet Explorer needs an update before installing.”
Microsoft, for its part, has admitted to the issue existing by issuing a statement via its support page. “This issue occurs because some computers have hybrid video cards that are not yet compatible with Internet Explorer 10 for Windows 7. Internet Explorer 10 will not install on these computers until updated hardware drivers are available for these video cards,” states the company when providing the cause.
In the meantime, Microsoft said it’s working to resolve the issue. Affected computers come from companies including Sony, HP, Dell and Lenovo.
