(Ping! Zine) – IBM recently announced that it has agreed to buy corporate software policy control software company, BigFix for a reported $400 million.
IBM released a statement saying “BigFix software has built-in intelligence that can identify which devices are not in compliance with corporate IT policies and recommend security fixes and timely software updates to 500,000 machines in a matter of minutes.”
BigFix currently employs 200 people and has more than 700 customers.
The acquisition is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2010.
