(Ping! Zine) – IBM has announced that it is in the process of acquiring marketing automation software company, Unica and that the deal should be closing soon.
Under the agreement, IBM will pay $21 per share to Unica, a deal worth over $480 million.
The acquisition will be the third recent buyout for IBM, which recently acquired CoreMetrics and Sterling Commerce. The company announced that it plans to spend close to $20 billion in acquisitions over the next five years.
