Idera Offers Three-Part ‘Secrets of SQL Server’ Webcast

A three-part series, “SQL Server, Storage and You,” will be hosted by Wes Brown, Chief Database Architect for eScan Data Systems, PASS Summit committee member and PASS coordinator in Austin, Texas.

The first episode will air on April 13, 2011 at 3 p.m. ET and will cover storage basics including the fundamentals of the SQL Server I/O system, how hard drives work, RAID configurations and how to configure the file system. Episode two in May will focus on Storage Area Networks, Network Attached Storage and strategies for setting up a storage system. Episode three in June and will cover more exotic methods of storage, such as solid state storage.
