In China, HP Set to Construct Data Center for Cloud

(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – One of the world’s biggest economies is about to experience a data center boost, all thanks to HP.

On Monday, the company revealed its plans to construct a cloud data center facility for Range Technology Development, a Chinese cloud provider.

Commenting on the matter in a company press release, HP Asia Pacific and Japan VP and managing partner Mohan Krishnan stated, “HP will draw on its unrivalled data center design-build experience to help Range Technology construct a cost-effective, cloud-based data center with the flexibility to meet changes in customer demand.”

Range Technology Development’s customers include those from enterprise and government. Meanwhile, Range Technology chairwoman Zhou Chaonan emphasized the facility’s need to fit “carbon emission reduction plans” in the country.

Planned for China’s Langfang, Hebei province, HP says the facility will be over 7,500 square meters. For more information on the matter, visit: http://www.hp.com/hpinfo/newsroom/press/2011/111003xa.html
