(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Cloud hosting provider FireHost announced on Wednesday that it had added cloud services to a Phoenix, Arizona data center, giving the company’s customers more options for locating their servers.
The company maintains other facilities in Dallas, Amsterdam and London. Discussing the matter in a press release, FireHost CTO Jason Rieger stated, “Phoenix is an ideal location for data centers due to the extremely low incidence of natural disasters like tornadoes, flooding and earthquakes.”
Meanwhile, one company expressed excitement about using FireHost’s services in Phoenix. Page.ly co-founder Joshua Strebel stated, “Offering a new data center in this location is another example of the steps the company has taken to maintain that commitment. I love now having my data in my own backyard.”
The cloud host’s announcement shorty follows the launch of the company’s services in London and Amsterdam data centers in January.
