(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – The availability of Amazon Web Services has once again expanded. Last week, the company unveiled a new cloud region for South America, located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
“South American-based businesses and global companies with customers in South America can now leverage the AWS suite of infrastructure web services to build their businesses and run their applications in the cloud,” stated Amazon in a press release.
The region supports popular Amazon cloud services including the company’s Elastic Compute Cloud, a platform that helps web developers with web scale computing.
The move follows a November launch of another region in Oregon. Overall, AWS now has eight regions, including other clouds in the U.S., Ireland, and Singapore.
Meanwhile, companies in Brazil have already signed on with Amazon’s new cloud. One of which includes financial institution Orama.
