(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Infomart Data Centers, a national wholesale data center provider, announces the appointment of Michael Carnes as Regional Vice President of Sales. Based in Dallas and focused on the Central U.S., Mr. Carnes is responsible for the conceptualization, implementation and execution of successful brand and market strategies that facilitate the overall growth of Infomart Dallas, placing a special focus on select verticals such as Cloud Computing, Oil & Gas and Energy. He is also accountable for the satisfaction and retention of Infomart Dallas’ hosting, managed services and cloud provider customers.
“Infomart’s success is attributed to making sound, tactical and strategically aligned decisions, as well as building effective teams with strong chemistry and resilient attitudes like the one that Michael brings to us in Dallas,” says Scott Mitchell, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Infomart Data Centers. “His regional pipeline and fresh market perspective ensure Infomart is better positioned for future growth in one of the nation’s most competitive wholesale data center markets.”
Mr. Carnes brings to Infomart Dallas more than 20 years’ experience in Information Technology and data center services. An early employee of Data Return (acquired by Terremark), now a subsidiary of Verizon Communications, he quickly rose up the ranks to lead one of the company’s nationwide sales teams. Following his tenure at Data Return, Mr. Carnes held various sales leadership roles at several tech start-ups, including Kabira, Metallect, Software Spectrum, Mareechi, RSPEED, Inc., and NaviSite, Inc. (now a Time Warner Cable Company), and returned to the data center industry in 2011 to assist in the development of the colocation group for Digital Realty Trust in Dallas. Most recently, he formed a new company called Patronus Data Centers, which purchased 35 acres of land in Frisco, Texas with the intent of developing it into a new suburban data center campus.
“I am excited to join the market-leading data center brand that is Infomart Data Centers,” adds Carnes. “Leveraging my data center and regional experience, I look forward to continuing Infomart Dallas’ great momentum as I embark on what is poised to be a record-setting growth year.”
