(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Amsterdam is the place for a new company presence from colocation provider Phoenix NAP. On Monday, the company announced that it would set up a node at a data center facility in the area maintained by provider Interxion.
Phoenix NAP’s node will help the company offer services such as its Secured Cloud and Secured Server solutions. Additionally, the company’s public cloud and IaaS products will also be provider for.
In a press release regarding the matter, Phoenix NAP President Ian McClarty said his company was “thrilled” to select Interxion.
“Its strong brand recognition and world-class facility are in line with Phoenix NAP in terms of providing flexible, cost effective solutions while maintaining the highest level of security systems and we look forward to building a strong relationship with the data center,” McClarty commented.
Meanwhile, Phoenix NAP indicated that several factors played a role in choosing the site. According to the press release, these included the site’s location, pricing and how many carriers were available.
Just earlier this month, Phoenix NAP unveiled a new website along with two new servers through its product line. Aside from colocation, the company offers a cloud solution featuring load balancing and firewalls.
