iPad Mini Debut From Apple Set for October 23, Source Says

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – If you happen to be a big fan of Apple products, mark your calendars for October 23rd. According a Friday Reuters report which cited a source, that’s when the Cupertino-based tech giant is expected to rollout its next big product: The long rumored iPad Mini.

The device unveiling occurs just shortly after the company debuted its highly anticipated iPhone 5 in late September.

A slimmed down and more affordable iPad could help Apple better compete against low end tablet systems including Google’s Nexus 7 and Amazon’s new Kindle Fire HD.

Earlier this week, a report from the Wall Street Journal signaled that Asian-based manufacturers had accounted for more than ten million units ordered. That’s particularly higher than Amazon made for its Kindle Fire HD.

The new iPad’s design is expected to feature 7.85-inch display. The Reuters report noted Apple shares had increased by .6 percent during the course of Friday.
