(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Wireless provider T-Mobile on Tuesday announced that it would begin offering the iPhone 5 come the 12th of April.
For initially pricing that’s described as “$99.99 down,” customers don’t have to sign up to annual service contracts to receive the device.
In a press release, T-Mobile USA CEO John Legere called it “an important day for people who love their iPhone but can’t stand the pain other carriers put them through to own one.”
Legere continued, “We feel their pain. I’ve felt the pain. So we’re rewriting the rules of wireless to provide a radically simple, affordable iPhone 5 experience — on an extremely powerful network.”
The iPhone was offered by AT&T only upon its initial launch in 2007. However, other wireless carriers have followed suit. Both Verizon and Sprint began carrying the popular phone in 2011.
