(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – iPhone 6 rumors are heating up as September approaches, with the latest batch of reports suggesting the Apple will host a “big media event” next month to unveil its next flagship smartphone.
According to a report from Re/Code, the tech giant will host its iPhone event on Tuesday, September 9th, though no further details were given.
Given the announcement date, MacRumors believes that the device could possibly hit shelves on September 19th, a week and a half after the unveiling. This date coincides with last year’s release of the iPhone 5 that was announced on September 12th.
Apple is expected to launch two versions of the iPhone 6, a 4.7-inch and a 5.5-inch “phablet.” Both models are believed to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessors, and rumored to feature an A8 processing chip, NFC, 4G antenna, a sapphire crystal screen display, and 3D graphics.
