(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – A new cloud server solution was unveiled by web hosting provider iWeb.com on Wednesday, providing clients with the ability to deploy clouds with provisioning.
With the release, the company emphasized ease of use, specifically referring to the solution as a “kinder” type of service. “Our customers asked for cloud services, and we heard them loud and clear,” commented iWeb President of Products Martin Leclair concerning the matter.
Leclair also said the goal to make the service “kinder” came as a result of hearing “horror stories” from companies who had experienced “outrageous amounts for data transfer fees.” The new platform makes use of the company’s already available Smart Layer Technology which offers automated delivery, CPU power and server management among other features.
iWeb currently has four data center facilities and provides servers in the areas of hybrid, dedicated and VPS. In February, the company announced that it had added former Rackspace CFO Bruce Knooihuizen to its Board of Directors.
