(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – As new versions of iOS continuously roll out, Apple product owners are becoming keener on how to jailbreak their respective devices – thus opening them up to more applications not always authorized to run.
Just yesterday, a report from CNET elaborated on the popularity of Evasi0n, a jailbreak pertaining to iOS versions 6.0 and 6.1. The popularity was so strong, it quickly surpassed being used 1 million times.
Another jailbreak known as JailbreakMe (from Cydia) has been active for some time – yet still draws increased popularity in the market.
“JailbreakMe is the easiest way to free your device. Experience iOS as it could be, fully customizable, themeable, and with every tweak you could possibly imagine,” comments developer Cydia via jailbreakme.com.
Just to be safe, Cydia emphasizes that users should create an iTunes backup before they go through with the jailbreak. iOS 6.1 saw release late last month.
